Rose Mary Herrero, MA
I have been practicing yoga and meditations since my teens. I came to these practices for my
health and they have changed as I have changed. When I worked as a school teacher I woke at
4:30 in the morning to start my day with my practice-which has been my anchor in life.
I studied TaiChi, Thai Massage, various forms of Yoga and Meditation. In 2008 I was finally able
to live at Kripalu for my Yoga certifications, 500 hour, Cardiac & Cancer,... I then traveled to the
Raleigh Durham area to study at Duke Integrative Medicine in their coaching program. I have
been studying Ayurveda (the healing system associated with Yoga) since the 1990’s. I wanted a
foundation to support my growth as a person and professional where I could share with others
in a safe way.
I have always drawn, painted, written, photographed, paper crafted… I do find the creative
process a need in life, irrelevant of what we create. It is another form of exploration.
I have a Masters degree in literature because I enjoy reading (books are the cheapest vacation/
escape). I can be an introvert that greatly enjoys connecting with the people I work with. My
clients often become my friends, I am blessed.
