Meet Our Team

Anita,

Anita

I was born and grew up in Montenegro, a little Mediterranean country, where I earned my bachelor's degree in music education. Not fully satisfied with the traditional classroom education I pursued education and a career in mindfulness, which I studied on both continents- in Europe and in the USA. I studied meditation from Peter Perovic and Nebojsa Vuckovic, well-recognized mindfulness teachers and authors of the book "The book about you". I am a certified Yoga teacher, certified Health and Health coach, earned a Reiki Master Certificate, two levels of tai-chi and have over ten years of experience in working with energy. After seeing how mindfulness positively transforms and restores lives I decided to pursue children's yoga certification.

The Mindful Kids program was developed by me as a unique way of providing children with the tools, knowledge, and ability to calm, center, concentrate and respond to stressful or difficult situations in a healthy and positive manner. I also, help people restore back their health and reverse chronic diseases through habit change, in her 12 weeks to New You Transformation Program.

I spend my free time practicing what I teach and watching my two daughters grow into amazing human beings. Visiting my family in Montenegro always fils my spirit with positive energy. Currently working on increasing my vibration in every factor of my life.

I would like to greet everyone with a smile and introduce myself as a Lightworker. (A person who spreads awesome light throughout the world and shares gifts) I currently volunteer at a nearby hospital performing Reiki on staff and Oncology patients, as well as the NODA Program (No One Dies Alone) If you are seeking to become closer to your true self, I feel I can help you with that. I have learned various tools along my life’s journey, that have helped me to stay balanced, heal past issues and face good or bad challenges that arise. One of those tools happens to be Reiki. I am a Level II RP, IARP. Since 2011, I have worked on myself and those dear to me. I feel that it is now time to reach out further with my light to others in need. I have always fully embraced my gifts and continue to grow them. It is a great joy, that I receive, in sharing my gifts with you. Gratitude for life is enhanced each day. Join me some time...

Sarah

Ayy yo, I am Sarah.  Manager, massage therapist, CBD consultant,  and slave to the cats here at Massage and Yoga Center. Odds are if you have ever been here, you have met me.
2014 is when I started my wellness journey by learning massage therapy. Knowledge is power and learning new techniques to pass along to my clients is something I take pride in. I am constantly taking classes on human anatomy, pathologies, nutrition, massage modalities and anything else I can find to help people. I work with my clients on so much more than a physical level. Being trained in reiki and alternative healing, I can work on an energetic level as well. Plus I am often told that I am a therapist to my clients. Which, I would recommend seeing an actually trained therapist if that’s what you need haha.
Deep tissue massage is my specialty. I enjoy a challenge so relaxing massages are not my go-to. All of my massage sessions are on a “whats needed bases”. Meaning that if you need some reiki, massage, and reflexology, you get it. I believe in finding the best way to help people and that way might require a range of modalities. Fire cupping is something I recommend everyone try, I LOVE fire cupping people and often use it at home as well.
Although I basically live at the center and love working I do find some free time. Animals are easily my favorite thing, right next to all my kiddos and ice cream. I have 3 dogs (Marco, Mekia, and Bubba) that I love to death and enjoy taking out on hikes. Nature is my happy place, no matter the weather. Baking and cooking are also a passion. I often supply the center and my clients with home-cooked treats.

I am trained in the following:

Therapeutic Massage, Prenatal Massage, Infant Massage, Animal Massage, Swedish Massage, Sports Massage, Chair/Clothed Massage, Reflexology, Indian Scalp Massage, Fire Cupping, Hot Rocks,  Massage for Sinus/Headache Relief, Reiki 1-3, Crystal Healing, and Chakra Balancing

Sam

Hey, I'm Sam, Sam I am. I have been massaging for about 5 years now! All 5 years spent at Massage and Yoga Center.
I recently graduated with a degree in athletic training from Alvernia University. I like to incorporate everything I have learned through all my schooling into my massage sessions. Stretching and working the muscles to really help my client get relief from injuries, chronic pain, stressed muscles and everything in between.  Not all my messages are sports-based but I am the person to see for any kind of sports-related relief.
When I am not working or going to school I enjoy trying everything life has to offer. I am often out hiking, sightseeing, traveling and just overall living life! I take new clients all the time, and I hope to work with you to help you feel like you again!
